What are the top movie characters you would like to see at a party??
The best costume party I ever attended was packed with movie superstars. As soon as I walked through the door, I ran into Spiderman. At the table of snacks, Chewbacca nearly spilled my punch. I spent at least an hour dancing with Sally from the Nightmare Before Christmas.
The truth is, though, that any costume party is better with the hottest movie characters of all time. Whether it’s Ash from Evil Dead with a chainsaw instead of an arm or something as classic as a great Indiana Jones costume, great movie character costumes can put you on the wild side of reality. The more convincing the costume, make up, and props, the better the costume. As you walk down the runway of judgment in front of your fellow party-goers, those little details you worked so hard on really begin to matter. It could be the hour you spent applying eyeliner for your Jack Sparrow costume or extra cash you spent on the more realistic Batman mask so people would really wonder if it was Christian Bale under that mask instead of you.
Movie character costumes are the star of costume parties and conventions like Comic-Con every single year, but it’s always a toss-up as to who has the best costume. My personal favs are obscure characters you don’t see every day, but that’s not true of everyone. To me, something you just don’t see at every party like a Frankenstein’s Monster modeled after Boris Karloff’s classic character portrayal is fantastic. One of my friends, though, can’t get enough of Yoda, the Clone Troopers, and Darth Vader. If we’re asked to judge the costumes at a party, it’s always a toss-up as to who wins the best movie character category. If nothing else, it’s a hot button issue for us later in the year.
